3 tablespoon zesty Italian dressing or light zesty Italian dressing
1 large onion ~  chopped, about 2 cups
1/4 teaspoon ground red cayenne pepper
1 cup miracle whip dressing or light miracle whip dressing
1 package  ~ 8 ounce cream cheese or light cream cheese, softened
4 tablespoons chopped green onions
one box wheat thin snack crackers

Heat Italian dressing in large skillet on medium heat. Add yellow onions; cook 15 minutes or until browned and caramelized, stirring occasionally. Stir in pepper. Cool completely.

Mix miracle whip dressing and cream cheese in medium bowl until well blended. Add caramelized onions and three tablespoons of the green onions; mix well. Put the dip in a serving dish and top with remaining green onions.

Serve at room temperature with the crackers. Serves 10. The dip can be made up 2 days ahead of time and keep in the refrigerator. You will need to wait to top with the remaining green onions.
